- Is
a Special Permit required for foreigners and all
non Indian Nationals?
Yes, a special permit for foreign nationals and
all non resident Indians had to be obtained from
Forest Department, Writers Building, G Block Top
Floor, Kolkata- 700 001, Phone No. 0091-33-22544411.
- How
is this permit obtained?
This permit is acquired by our staff from
the government on the presentation of your actual
passport with visa. This procedure takes around
one hour and can be done a day before your travel,
excluding Saturdays and Sundays when the government
office is closed. In such a case it is advisable
to send a clear Xerox or scanned copy to obtain
a temporary permit, which can be confirmed on the
presentation of the original. Otherwise the tourist
can also obtain it personally
by
visiting the Government Office.

- How
do we travel to Sunderbans and back to Kolkata?
Our luxury coach does a pick up at 08.00 A.M. from
Priya Cinema to Sonakhali (by land route). We continue
our travel from Sonakhali
to Dayapur (Sunderban Tiger Camp) by our Luxury
boat. During return journey, the tourist will depart
from the Camp at 12.00 P.M. and return by Luxury
boat and bus to Priya Cinema in Kolkata.

Tiger sighting is a matter of chance. However, such
chances are definitely bright from September to November
as this is the mating season for the tigers in Sunderbans.
